FORT ORD TRAIL RIDE, AUGUST 23, 11 AM

Marina Equestrian Center to BLM (western side of Fort Ord Public Lands)

Join us with your horses for a guided tour and companionable ride into the western portion of the BLM wilderness. The event is free and “Ride At Your Own Risk”.  The minimum ride is expected to take about 2 hours if walking. Longer/faster rides are possible – just let us know your interest. This is an excellent opportunity to have our members who regularly use these trails to show you parking areas, landmarks, and access points to the less well-known and less well-traveled western side of this extensive BLM area. There are 83 miles of trails on the Fort Ord Public Lands and trail quality is generally excellent, passing through shallow valleys, coastal oaks, and coastal shrubs.

Training  Clinic, Swap Meet, Spring Fling Community Day

Time: 2 pm - 4 pm

Join us for horsemanship at its finest, sociability, and tack exchange

The Marina Equestrian center will be hosting a spring fling community day!  The event will feature Ray Berta, an experienced and well-known horse trainer.  Ray will be focusing on groundwork and problem solving.

The clinic will be held on April 26th from 1-3PM. The audit fee is $15.00 per person.

About Ray

Ray Berta was born and raised in Carmel Valley.  Ray has been conducting clinics for over 30 years.  During that time he has mastered the training of horses in a wide variety of disciplines.  He is a master of horsemanship.

Ray focuses on working with horses on their own level, offering suggestions and letting them choose to follow.  Ray brings riders into the horse’s zone.  His mission is to encourage riders to find the harmony that is possible when a horse is soft in mind and body, balanced, and light on his feet.

Meet others in the local horse community and get acquainted with the Marina Equestrian center’s friendly members.

Arrive around noon to the clinic and participate in the tack swap and sale. Bring a lawn chair, there will be refreshments available.

RSVP via phone necessary because of limited spacing.
