From the Marina Equestrian Center into the western area of Fort Ord Public Lands (BLM)

The Marina Equestrian Association welcomes you to trail-ride into the western side of the Fort Ord Public Lands. As always, such a visit is “Bring Your Own Horse and Ride At Your Own Risk”. The minimum ride is expected to take about 2 hours (if walking). Longer/faster rides are possible – just let us know your interest. This is an excellent opportunity to have our members who regularly use these trails to show you parking areas, landmarks, and legal access points to the less well-known and less well-traveled western side of this extensive BLM area. There are 83 miles of trails on the Fort Ord Public Lands and trail quality is generally excellent, passing through shallow valleys & coastal oaks.

Whether riding with us, or riding on your own, you have an open invitation to park in our parking lot at the main gate to stable area. The restroom is just inside the gate near our wash-rack.  Due to insurance restrictions, please do not use the arenas without permission (signed release) or bring horses into the resident stable area. Water and maps are available beside the main gate. If bringing more than 2 trailers, please contact us in advance. Directions: Google 5th Ave & 9th St., Marina 93933
